About the workshop:
Writing is rewriting. It’s not enough just to shuffle up the words; sometimes you need to unravel problems at the plot and character level. If you’re ready to step back and take a big-picture look at your novel, this workshop is for you.
Bring a few chapters of your work-in-progress, or just the bones of a story. In one action-packed hour, you’ll add to your arsenal of editing techniques and practise them on your own work.
You’ll go visual, using index cards and highlighters to examine your work in new ways. You’ll find fun, creative ways to revise using all five senses. You’ll explore structure and discover how to build a plot map that drives the story you want to tell. You’ll ask the tough questions and learn how the answers strengthen your work.
We all want to bring the story on the page closer to the story in our minds and hearts. In this workshop, we’ll discover how.
