September 8, 2012: Responding Emotionally – Improve Your Writing with Emotion in Your Scenes, by Tobin Elliott

About the Workshop

We all react emotionally to any new person we meet, to any new setting we visit. This influences how we interact and react to these new experiences.

In this workshop, we’ll talk about how to subtly inject emotion and emotional reactions into all facets of your writing. You’ll learn what a powerful tool emotion is when you consider how it can be used to:

  • Describe characters and settings
  • Create a specific tone in a scene or story
  • Hook your reader

My primary goal with any workshop or class, aside from getting some great learnings out, is to have fun. Come invest an hour and let’s get emotional.
