Writing Circles

Writing community through shared experience in writing circles can be a tremendous boon in producing and refining work. Below we list a number of writing circles loosely associated with the WCDR.

Meets at the Bradford Public Library
Monthly, third Tuesday of the month 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.

Children’s Writer’s Circle
Colonial Retirement Residence, Whitby, Ontario
1st Wednesday of each month, 7 p.m.

Critical Realm
Private home (Whitby-Pickering)
Every other Tuesday

Critical Ms.
Whitby Central Library
Every other Tuesday

UpWords (formerly Ink Well)
Harmony Cup Café located in the Harmony Creek Community Centre on the northeast corner of Hwy. 2 and Harmony Road.
Monthly. Usually the third Saturday of each month from 9:00 am until noon.

The Markam Village Writers’ Circle
District 5 Police Station Community Room, 8700 McCowan Road (at Carlton).
The first Wednesday of every month, from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. (excluding July and August)
Note: Please park in the school parking lot across the street from the police station.

Newmarket Freeflow Writers
Taylor Funeral Home on Davis Drive
Every second and fourth Tuesday of the month from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. (excluding July and August)

Every second Wednesday from 6:30 p.m. to 8:45 p.m.
