Bio

Mr. Ducker is an honours graduate of Huntington College at Laurentian University in Sudbury, Ontario, with Bachelor of Education post-graduate studies in Special Education and the Slow Learner.

In 1971, after serving as a teaching Principal in some Southern Ontario schools, he became Principal, Kindergarten Teacher and Primary Methods Specialist at the Morson Public School of the Fort Frances-Rainy River Board of Education.

Due to the cultural diversity and location of the school he developed many specialized programs which incorporated the external environment into the curriculum.

His book – Don’t Wake the Teacher! – has been incorporated into the University of Holguin, Cuba, Teacher Education Department.

Publications

Don’t Wake the Teacher!  Graham Ducker’s ‘Teacher’ book is being translated into Chinese for use with their ECE programs.

Graham has two primary picture books published – both in 2011:

His latest poetry book is Where Warm Hearts Blend, which has mostly Cuban-themed poems.
