Bio: Heather has been creating programs and performing storytelling and music to both children and adults for close to twenty five years in just about every venue you could imagine! She is a diverse, versatile performing artist for both children and adults and is experienced with small and larger audiences.
Heather is known as an animated and musical storyteller who reels her listeners in to “just be” with her in the moment. Her enlightening life memoir tales, especially those about family and childhood days with neighbourhood friends, have become popular as she ‘lets the cat out of the bag’ to share anything from sensitive, heartwarming stories, to the outlandish, revealing antics and innocence of children. She has been described as “charming”… and sometimes surprising!”.
Heather has three children and family cd’s and a blues/jazz EP available on her website.
She is currently the program and artistic director for StoryFusion Cabaret! with an operations grant through Storytelling Toronto. Blending the art of oral storytelling with song, music, spoken word, dance, and other artforms, StoryFusion is a performance series that runs from fall to spring in Toronto. Heather also produces house concerts and is involved with community projects and arts organisations. She is a board director with Storytellers of Canada.
